Chapter 19:
Plan of Salvation.
The Way To Jesus Is Simple
Salvation is a very personal decision. This is something between God and you. The choice is yours alone.
1. Admit You Are A Sinner
For all have sinned and come short of the Glory of God
~Romans 3:23~
Admit to God you are a sinner. Sin is refusing to acknowledge God's authority over your life. Everyone sins. The result of sin is spiritual death or eternal separation from God when you die. Repent: turn away from your sin and toward God. (See Acts 3:19; Romans 3:23; 6:23).
2. Believe That Jesus Is God, The Son Who Paid The Wages of Your Sin
For the wages of sin is death (eternal separation from God); but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. ~Romans 6:23~
Believe in Jesus Christ as God's Son and accept Jesus' gift of forgiveness from sin. Jesus took the penalty for your sin by dying on the cross because you could not meet God's requirements for a perfect sacrifice for your sin. (See John 3:16).
3. Call On God
If thou shalt confess with thy mouth to the Lord Jesus, and shall believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the head, thou shalt be saved. ~Romans 10:9~
Confess To God your faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. As Lord, Jesus has earned the right to be obeyed as a sheep obeys his shepherd. (See Romans 10:9-10, 13; I John 1:9).
Here is a little prayer you can say.
Lord Jesus, I know You love me, because You died on the cross bearing my sins. Thank You, Jesus for revealing to me my lost condition. I ask you to forgive me of all sins that is in my life. I ask You Jesus to come into my heart. I am willing to change the direction of my life by acknowledging You as my Lord and Savior and by turning away from my sin. Thank You for giving me forgiveness, eternal life and hope in You, JESUS.
