SWORD of DISHONESTY

Sword of Dishonesty
(To act without honesty. It is used to describe a lack of probity, cheating, lying or being deliberately deceptive or a lack of integrity, knavishness).
What does the Bible say about lying? A lying tongue is not only something God hates but it is also something that is an abomination to Him.
Proverbs 6:16-19 says, "These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren."
A person who knows the truth but (for whatever reason) says differently is a liar. The Bible emphasizes the importance of making true statements about God. To purposely misrepresent God is a serious offense. A liar is defined, first and foremost, as someone who denies that Jesus is the Christ (1 John 2:22). “Trusting in lies” is consistent with forgetting God (Jeremiah 13:25). Those who claim to know God, but contradict Him, add to His words, or refuse to follow or accept His commandments are also called liars (1 John 2:4; 5:10; Proverbs 30:6).
Proverbs 20:23..Divers weights [are] an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance [is] not good.
Proverbs 11:1 - A false balance [is] abomination to the LORD: but a just weight [is] his delight.
Hebrews 13:18 - Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.
Romans 13:1 - Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God.
Proverbs 20:10 - Divers weights, [and] divers measures, both of them [are] alike abomination to the LORD.
