SPIRITUAL WARFARE
SOLDIERS OF THE
CROSS
SPIRITUAL WARFARE.

Spiritual warfare is a all out war between the forces of God and the forces of anti-christ, led by one of God’s created angelic beings named Lucifer. He is more commonly known to us as satan or the devil. Satan is derived, from the Hebrew word, meaning opponent. The word devil, in the Greek, is translated accuser or slanderer. His main objective, as it is related to mankind, is to accuse God’s people as he did in the book of Job. Whenever God’s children stumble and fall, or sin against God, satan accuses them before God’s throne.
There are two important things we must understand about satan, which will help us deal with his wiles.
(1) His pride and arrogance make him think he can really be like God.
(2) He has an intense jealousy and hatred for mankind because of the great love and the plan of salvation, which has been offered to mankind, but not to fallen angels. Jesus Christ made all this possible when He stole the keys of death, hell and the grave from the devil.
“For though we live in this world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds. We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
(2 Corinthians 1:3-5)
Spiritual warfare is a reality of the Christian life, but remember, although we may lose some battles, we have the final victory! Since the devil has nothing to lose, he will take as many people as he can down his path of mass destruction. When the devil succeeds in doing this, God hurts, like a parent does over losing a child. This sort of hatred is very much in keeping with the devil’s character. Satan is a leech: he is so lacking in life, that the only life he has left is, what he can suck out of the living.
The very first thing you will need to know is that satan, his demons, and all of their supernatural powers have been totally defeated by Jesus, when He died on the cross and rose the third day, for all of our sins. Here are extremely, powerful verses that you will need to have underneath your belt, if you are ever forced to deal with any kind of a direct, demonic attack either against yourself or anyone else you may know. Demons hate, and I mean hate, every single one of these verses, as they are all a constant reminder to the fact, that satan and his army of demons are all defeated. These verses also remind satan, that he has no chance against any true, born-again Christian, who knows who they really are in JESUS CHRIST, how to yield the Sword of the Holy Spirit, and how to walk, with the anointing, that God has given them.
Bible verses to fight spiritual warfare of satan:
1. Through death He might destroy him who had the power of death, that is, the devil, and release those who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage. (Hebrews 2:14)
2. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins. (Colossians 1:13)
3. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it. (Colossians 2:15)
4. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. (Revelation 12:11)
5. There God has also highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, those in heaven, and those under the earth, and that every tongue shall confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. (Philippians 2:5-11)
6. Ye are of God, little children, and have over come them: because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world(1 John 4:4).
7. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist steadfast in the faith. (1 Peter 5:8.9)
8. And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. (Matthew 16:19)
9. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ; (2 Corinthians 10:4,5 )
10. Get thee behind me, Satan: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but the things that be of men. (Mark 8:33b)
